UPDATE: 2 arrested for drugs, child endangerment in La Porte City

LA PORTE CITY (KWWL) -

Two La Porte City residents were arrested for selling and possessing drugs, as well as child endangerment, at a La Porte City apartment on Tuesday.

Michelle B. Meyer, 32, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, child endangerment, unlawful possession of prescription drugs, second-offense possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cody Michael Tarrance, 27, was arrested and charged with child endangerment, third-offense possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and third-offense possession of pills.

Both were taken to the Black Hawk County Jail.

ORIGINAL STORY:

La Porte City Police say drugs were uncovered Tuesday morning at an apartment building in town.

According to authorities, a search warrant was served at an apartment at 111 W. Main St.

As a result, police found marijuana, methamphetamine and an assortment of pills inside the building.

The scene was cleared around 9:30 a.m.
