Bermel wins Senior Iowa PGA Professional Title

BURLINGTON (KWWL) -

UNI golf coach John Bermel captured the 2015 Iowa Senior PGA Professional Championship shooting 4 under par over 2 rounds at Burlington Golf Club.

The title marked the third time he won the event in the past four years. Bermel, the head pro at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls, beat runner-up Curt Schnell of Okoboji by 2 strokes.

The top 5 of Bermel, Schnell, Kevin Denike, Ken Schall, and Joe Butler advance to the Senior PGA Professional Championship in Seaside, California, in October.
