Shattered glass still remains at the Mandarin Spice Grill Restaurant  on Twixt Road in Marion.

On Friday, witnesses Toyota Highlander SUV crashed through the restaurant during the lunch rush.

"It sounded like a dump truck dropped a dumpster from pretty high up, so it was a pretty big bang," said Patrick McPartland who ran out from his workplace next door out after hearing the crash.

A server who was working during the incident says about 50 people plus employees were inside during the crash.

Luckily, no one was hurt.

Marion police say the driver, 69-year-old Beth Mysak of Springville lost control of the SUV.

"The manager at Mandarin had gotten her some water," said McPartland. "She was just relaxed, she was just kinda...clearly in shock," he continued.

Meanwhile, the front of the restaurant is damaged and needs repair. At the moment the restaurant is closed. Boards are being put up so they can reopen Saturday for the dinner-hour.
