BUCHANAN COUNTY (KWWL) -

The East Buchanan School District is looking to make improvements, but they need a bond to make it happen.

The district wants to put in a safe room, new industrial technology classrooms and shop, a stage, gymnasium, and greenhouse.

The expected cost of all this would be just over $8 million.

Citizens will vote on the proposed levy of $7.15 million to help cover the cost on September 8th.

But before that, the district is hosting several open-houses to inform the public on the specifics of the plans.

* Tuesday, August 25 – Open house at East Buchanan High School, 5-6:30 PM.

* Thursday, August 27 – Aurora Library, 7 PM

* Monday, August 31 – Quasqueton City Hall, 7 PM
