DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Dubuque native Stephen Goerdt will be signing his book, which follows another Dubuque native on the Mississippi, Saturday at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium.

The book, Catch of the Day: The Adventures of a Mississippi River Man follows Wendell Schroeder as he harvests the fur, fish and game along the river.  Realizing he's the last of a dying breed, Schroeder also teaches youngsters about the ways of the river and how to live in harmony with it.

Both the author and Schroeder will be at the museum Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. to sign books.  The book will also be available for purchase.

For more information on the book, visit www.stephengoerdt.com.
