WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A police chase last night ended when a car ran into a creek in eastern Iowa.

Police Marchello Rembert was driving with an invalid license.

Police say Rembert went off the road and along a yard on Lester Street. He then got back on the road and his car hit a parked car.

A chase lasted about two minutes and ended in a creek in Gates Park in Waterloo. After the chase ended, police say they found marijuana in Rembert's car.

Waterloo firefighters then took Rembert to Allen hospital. After he was treated, police took him to the Black Hawk County Jail. He is now facing multiple charges for driving while his license was suspended, possession of illegal substances and for eluding.

This is not the first time Rembert has faced charges. Earlier this year, he pleaded guilty for driving under the influence. He's also been found guilty of other crimes.
