IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

A victim reported being sexually assaulted while walking near the Iowa River on the University of Iowa's campus.

The University of Iowa Police received a report from an unnamed out-of-state agency about a sexual assault that happened Monday night on campus.

The victim told police they were walking near the Iowa River when a man pulled them into a construction area and sexually assaulted them. The victim was then able to get away.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 30 and 35 years of age, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-11 tall, with a skinny or normal build, with short dreadlocks and black shoes.
