WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Leah Morrison is announcing a campaign to be the next mayor of Waterloo.

Morrison is an accountant who owns several businesses.

In a news release, she points out she doesn't have as much experience in public office as her opponents, but says her business experience would be good for the city:  “I’ve been running businesses and balancing budgets.”

Other candidates for mayor include Quentin Hart, who is currently the Mayor Pro Tem and has also been a city councilman since 2008.

Tim Hurley is also running to return to his old office.  He was mayor of Waterloo for three terms.

Black Hawk County supervisor Frank Magsamen has also announced he's running for mayor.
