Former Cedar Falls high school star and current Iowa Hawkeye offensive tackle Ike Boettger is learning fast on the job.

Boetttger played quarterback and defensive end in high school and was recruited to play tight end at Iowa...before moving to tackle. After serving as backup left tackle to all-American and Outland trophy winner Brandon Scherff last fall---Boettger is projected to be the Hawkeyes' starting right tackle. Boettger has experienced some growing pains playing his new position---but he and head coach Kirk Ferentz are confident in Ike's ability to work though it.
