CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

The superintendent of an eastern Iowa school district got a raise in pay this week.

Dr. Andy Pattee, superintendent of Cedar Falls Community Schools, was approved for a 3.23 percent raise in salary and benefit increases, according to district spokeswoman Janelle Darst.

That translates to a $6,000 increase. Pattee's new salary is $192,000.

The vote was held in closed session in accordance with Iowa law, and Darst said she did not know if there was debate on the increase.
