BREMER COUNTY (KWWL) -

The Bremer County Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash that killed a 44-year-old woman from Sumner.

Deputies say Dawn Novak was killed after her car crashed with a pickup truck Monday morning.

Deputies were called to the crash at the intersection of 110th Street and Usher avenue on shortly after 9 a.m.

Investigators say Novak's car, which was headed southbound on Usher Avenue, collided with a truck headed eastbound, driven by 47-year-old Logan Huebner of Sumner.

The cars crashed in the intersection.

Investigators say the tall corn growing in the area may have played a role in the crash.

Huebner and his passenger Dylan Berge were taken to Sumner Community Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

No charges have been filed yet as the crash is under investigation.
