University of Iowa adds live music to football game day

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

The University of Iowa will have live music before each home game this season.

Bands will be on the Hawkeye Radio Network stage on the Krause Family Plaza.

The bands will play up until the football team arrives a  couple hours before kickoff.

They will play again between the Hawkeye Radio Network pregame show and the kickoff of the game.

Below is the list of performers by game, this list comes from http://www.hawkeyesports.com.

  • Illinois State (Sept. 5) – David Zollo and The Body Electric (blues/rock/roots)
  • Pittsburgh (Sept. 19) – The Fez (pop/rock/soul/groove)
  • North Texas (Sept. 26) – King of the Tramps (rock/blues)
  • Maryland (Oct. 31) – Danita Portz (new country)
  • Minnesota (Nov. 14) – Brother Trucker (roots/rock)
  • Purdue (Nov. 21) – Jacob County and The Damaged Goods (Americana/rock and roll)

The schedule may be adjusted for night games.
