DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Taste of Dubuque celebrated its 20th anniversary on Thursday night, hosted by the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium.

Just like years' before, this event honored all the best tastes that Dubuque has to offer.

Pizza from Happy Joes, Barbeque from Sugar Ray's BBQ and Tony Roma's, tacos from Adobos and desserts from Candle Ready Cakes and Cold Stone were just a few of the many choices available.

Music tastes were also catered to, with a main stage and an acoustic stage set up.

John Sutter, Director of Marketing and Sales with the River Museum, said that one of the goals for this year's event was to go green.

"We've disallowed our food vendors from using any kind of Styrofoam in either preparing their food our serving their food," he said. "We've also eliminated plastic water bottles. So we've been giving people reusable bottles and giving water for free."

Overall, the event saw 6,500 visitors.
