One hurt in Linn County crash

Posted: Updated:

A 34-year-old man from Central City was taken to the hospital after a crash this morning in Linn County.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened after 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of Palo Marsh Road and Power Plant Road north of Palo.

Deputies say a truck driven by Hunter Newman, 18 years old, rear-ended a car driven by Michael Rubocki, 34 years old. That car then rear-ended another car because of the first collision. Rubocki was taken to the hospital. Investigators do not believe his injuries are life threatening.

They also say Newman failed to see vehicles were stopped, waiting to turn at the intersection.
