DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

This year's Taste of Dubuque event will be missing a couple of familiar sights: disposable water bottles and Styrofoam..

In an effort to be more green, the annual event will be ditching those things this year.  Instead, Collins Community Credit Union will be providing 2,000 reusable water bottles to the first 2,000 visitors.  In addition, all of the vendors won't be using Styrofoam.

Water will be provided for free to all event goers.

The 6th Annual Taste of Dubuque is Thursday from 5-11 p.m. at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in the Port of Dubuque.  Admission to the event is free.
