HIAWATHA (KWWL) -

The Mercy Hiawatha Medical Park will break ground on August 5th.

Hiawatha's new medical park will have three parts, separated into three stories and leased from a developer.

Two additional stories will be added to the former Duffy's Collectable Cars building, for the Medical Park.

On the third floor there will be an outpatient surgery center.

The second floor will be leased out.

The first floor will most likely provide additional services to the clinic.

“We are responding to significant demand for conveniently located and more accessible care,” said Tim Charles, Mercy president and CEO, according to a press release we received.

Opening day for the Medical Park is scheduled for next spring.

Everyone is welcome for the groundbreaking next Wednesday at  3:30 P.M.

The Medical Park will be located at 1195 Boyson Road.
