DES MOINES (KWWL) -

North Linn and Pleasantville traded runs in the early innings, but the first home run of the state tournament set Pleasantville apart in a 6-3 win in the 1A state semifinals.

North Linn answered the Trojans offense in the first 3 innings, first with Logan Novak scoring on a double steal to tie the game at 1 apiece in the second. In the top of the third, Jacob Rawson knocked a base hit to left scoring Jake Hilmer from second base again tying the game at 2.

Pleasantville, however, took control with an RBI base hit in the bottom half in the inning before striking the big blow in the 4th. With a runner on, Trojan pitcher Zeb Adreon crushed the first home run of the 2015 state tournament, a 2 run shot over the wall in right field that would prove to be the game winning hit.
