IOWA CITY (AP) -

A judge has dismissed charges filed against a Coralville man accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside a port-a-potty near the University of Iowa's Kinnick Stadium.
The Iowa City Press-Citizen says the judge last week ruled that prosecutors failed to bring 53-year-old Ronald Williams to trial in a timely fashion. Williams had been charged with kidnapping, assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and other crimes. He'd pleaded not guilty.
University of Iowa police say Williams followed the woman into the portable toilet in a university parking lot on Sept. 7, 2013. Police say Williams attempted to make the woman perform a sex act.
Prosecutor Anne Lahey says the defense had indicated it would waive Anderson's right to a speedy trial, but the waiver was never filed.
