TRACKING STORMS: Tropical air, spotty storms today

Posted: Updated:

With this hot and humid air mass sitting over us, plus the cold front tracking in, we have a chance of storms continuing in the KWWL viewing area.

Heat and humidity remain over much of the area through Tuesday.

Storms will be rather spotty Monday and Monday night, but more organized with the front tracking through tomorrow, especially in the afternoon.

They will have energy with it and a lot of moisture, so heavy rainfall is the main concern.

A cold front will then track through and drop us back to more normal late July/early August conditions.

It will still be summer-like, but temps could drop ten degrees from Tuesday's highs.

However, some storms Tuesday afternoon could become strong to severe, with large hail and damaging winds possible.

We will be less humid and a bit cooler for the rest of the week.
