IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Iowa City School Board Member Tuyet Barauh has announced her resignation from the board.

Voters will choose her replacement on September 8, which was already set as an election day.

On September 8 voters will fill two four-year positions and choose someone to fill the two-year vacancy filled by Barauh.

Candidates running for the four-year position who would like to run for the two-year position instead will need to re-file.

Anyone interested in running must file by Thursday, July 30 at 5 p.m. at the Iowa City School District Officer. You need to submit 50 signatures.
