Scott Walker visits Iowa hometown

PLAINFIELD (KWWL) -

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is back in Wisconsin Monday after wrapping up his first full week as a presidential candidate in Iowa.

On Sunday, the Dietz family hosted dozens of people, cameras, and Walker at their farm in Plainfield.

Walker spent about seven years of his life in the town. His father was the preacher at the Baptist church.

Walker says he was pleased to see old friends, including his third-grade teacher.

"You know, at that point in their life, you don't think great aspirations like this, but it's wonderful," said Walker's former teacher, Betty Balsley. "He was very inquisitive, and he seemed to have more of a sense of community and, you know, current event-type things."

Walker says he'll be campaigning by doing the "Full Grassley" -- visiting all 99 counties in the state.
