Zach Johnson in 5th at British Open

Posted: Updated:

The second round of the British Open won't be completed until Saturday. Rain in the morning today caused a three-hour delay and strong winds in the afternoon bothered the golfers quite a bit.

As of now the lead is held by Dustin Johnson who is 10-under after 12 holes of play. He missed a relatively short putt for par on No. 11 but the wind was so strong he had a hard time lining it up and had to stop at one point to wipe his eyes.

England's Danny Willett played in the morning under better conditions and shot a 3-under-69 to finish play 9-under. Zach Johnson finished his round shooting a 1(71) under par today to move to 7 under for the tournament. Johnson is tied for fifth.

Luke Donald has completed 17 holes and stands 7-under for the tournament.

Masters and U.S. Open champ Jordan Spieth (speeth) has played par golf through 13 holes and is now 5-under overall.

Phil Mickelson played in the morning and shot even-par to stand 2-under.

Tiger Woods is 1-over for the day through 10 holes and is 5-over for the tournament. Woods is in danger of missing the cut, projected to be even par.

They will return Saturday morning to finish their round before the cut is made and the field redrawn.
