NORTH LIBERTY (KWWL) -

The Iowa State Patrol says a 33-year-old woman died after a collision on Interstate 380 early this morning.  The crash happened at the 5 milemarker in the southbound lanes around 4:30 a.m. near North Liberty.

Authorities say 33-year-old Kerri Jo Goddard was driving a Nissan Maxima and hit the rear of the semi, which was stopped on the shoulder of the road.

Goddard died at the scene.  A 15-year-old passenger in the car was airlifted from the scene to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

The semi driver is 42-year-old Raymond Ramirez of Davenport.  The Iowa State Patrol crash report does not say Ramirez was injured.

The crash is still under investigation.
