DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Whether you go for the livestock or the grandstand shows, eating at the fair is always high on the list of fair must do's.

And this year, it'll be cheaper during some of the Dubuque County Fair.

A new program called the Fair Food Frenzy will allow attendees to get back their gate admission fee if they eat lunch at the fair on Tuesday, July 28 through Friday, July 31.

You'll have to pay the $10 gate admission fee, but you'll also receive a Fair Food Frenzy pass.  When you leave, present that pass along with your lunch receipt, and you'll get your $10 refunded.  You have to leave the fair before 1 p.m. in order to receive the refund.

"Fair food is a tradition that is only available for six days a summer and we want to make it easier to enjoy," said Jamie Blum, the fair's general manager.
