WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Changes are coming to the weekday and weekend Today in Iowa newscasts on KWWL.

Ally Crutcher, who has been serving as interim co-anchor with Jerry Gallagher, has been named as permanent co-anchor to the show.

She joins Gallagher and Meteorologist Eileen Loan.

Today in Iowa airs from 4:30 to 7 a.m. each weekday morning.

In addition, Lauren Moss has been named anchor of the weekend Today in Iowa newscast, which airs Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8 to 9 a.m.

Moss has been serving as interim anchor for the show since June.

“We’re pleased to have both candidates coming from within,” said Shane Moreland, KWWL’s News Director. “Both are solid journalists and have proven to be a natural fit in the anchor chair. Ally has great chemistry with Jerry and Eileen, and Lauren’s style is a perfect fit for the weekend.”

Ally Crutcher has been with KWWL since 2013. Lauren Moss joined the station in 2014.

As both anchors have been serving in their new positions on an interim basis, the permanent changes are effective immediately.
