WATERLOO (KWWL) -

One driver was injured after another driver ran a stop sign Tuesday morning in Waterloo.

The crash happened around 9 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Hawkeye and Shaulis roads.

According to Capt. Dave Mohlis with the Waterloo Police Department, the driver of a van ran a stop sign and collided with a car.

The car rolled over and ended up on its top in a ditch.

The driver of the car sustained minor injuries and was taken to Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, according to Capt. Mohlis.

The driver of the van was cited for running the Hawkeye Road stop sign.

Traffic was reduced to one lane on Hawkeye Road for a time while officials cleared the scene.

Police did not release any names as of Tuesday morning.
