Police searching for work release escapee

SIOUX CITY (KWWL) -

Jordan Christopher Henry has escaped from a residential work release facility in Sioux City.

The offender was transferred to the Sioux City Work Release facility after being granted a work release by the Iowa Board of Parole.

Henry is on escape status after he did not return to the facility from a treatment assignment.

Work Release is a minimum security setting which allows offenders an opportunity to gradually adjust to the transition between prison and the community.

He has been serving a ten year sentence for assault and burglary.

He is described as a white man with brown hair and brown eyes. His height is 5’9”, and he weighs about 174 pounds.

He has tattoos on his stomach, back, chest, left forearm, right forearm, and right side

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sioux City Police Department or Woodbury County Sheriff's Office.
