EVANSDALE (KWWL) -

It's been nearly three years now, and there are still so many unanswered questions -- and no one has been arrested in the kidnappings and murders of Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins.

The cousins from Evansdale were riding their bicycles near Myers Lake when they were taken on July 13, 2012.

Monday marks the 3-year anniversary, and family and friends will be coming together this weekend to remember the girls.

This year is the third year for the Ride and Drive For the Girls event, raising money for Angels Park and Cedar Valley Crimestoppers.

Friends of the Collins hope this event will urge people to come forward and get justice for the girls.

"That's a lot of what we're doing this year -- we're riding for justice," said organizer Rodger Day. "We're hoping that a huge turnout, record turnout, and that somebody will finally come through with something."

The ride is this Saturday and begins at 11 a.m., starting at Lofty's Lounge in Evansdale.

It's $20 to participate.
