A maintenance man mowing a church lawn was injured after he flipped his lawnmower off of a wall and ended up in a nearby parking lot.

It happened at Grace Baptist Church on Hammond Avenue in Waterloo on Thursday morning.

The unnamed man called 911, then called Grace Baptist's pastor from the ambulance.

KWWL crews at the scene reported the lawnmower had apparently caught fire after being rolled.

The pastor told KWWL the man had sustained minor injuries.
