WASHINGTON COUNTY (KWWL) -

A Fairfield woman was killed after the car she was riding in was involved in a rollover crash Wednesday morning.

Wendy Ann Lane Littrell, 24, of Fairfield was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Iowa State Patrol.

According to the Patrol's report, Jorge Jon Paul Noivo, 32, of San Francisco was driving southbound on Highway 218 at mile marker 71 in Washington County just after 6 a.m. when he lost control of his Cadillac Escalade and entered the median.

Noivo then overcorrected, according to the report, which caused the Escalade to roll. The vehicle crossed over the southbound lanes and came to rest in the west ditch.

Littrell, who was not wearing her seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle.

Noivo was not injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
