Jesup Farmers Day kicks off this weekend

Jesup will be hosting "Jesup Farmers Day" this coming Thursday through Saturday.

Music will kick off Thursday and will feature local rock band Ataglance at 8:30 p.m.

Friday will bring DooWops, an a capella barbershop singing group, at 5 p.m., followed by Bill Chrastil, who performs music from Elvis, Conway Twitty, Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, Johnny Cash, and Jerry Lee Lewis, at 6:30 p.m.

Following the DooWops will be a square dance at 7:30 p.m. on Sixth Street and Hawley near Jesup City Hall.

To close out the night will be the band Stackhouse at 9 p.m.

Bosco/Indee City Band and Drivel will get things started at 12:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

2011 Entertainer of the Year Carl Acuff Jr. takes the stage at 5 p.m.

To close out the celebration, Gary Charlson, Liverpool: A Tribute to the Beatles and The Crayons will be performing from 8 p.m. through 1:30 a.m.
