Five kids injured in Tama Co. rollover crash

Seven people, including five children, are in the hospital after a rollover crash in Tama County.

It happened around 11:15 p.m. on Saturday on Highway 63 south of Traer.

The Iowa State Patrol said the car was driving northbound on Highway 63 when it went off the road. The driver over corrected the steering and went back onto the road. The car then went into the ditch--rolling several times before coming to a stop.

Seven people were sent to the hospital, including the driver.

The ages of the victims range between 2 and 32. 

No word on their conditions.

Four of the people in the car, including the driver, were wearing their seatbelts at the time. 

The crash is under investigation.
