Jennifer Ambrose's daughter, Natalie, was born with a fatal disease -- oxygen wasn't converting into energy to make her body work.
Natalie died in 2010, just shy of her 6th birthday.
Overwhelmed by grief and funeral expenses, Jennifer began looking for help, but she couldn't find anything.
That's when an idea formed: "Sing Me to Heaven."
It's a non-profit that Jennifer and her mother created, which helps pay for a child's funeral expenses.
"We want families to focus on their grieving, versus how they are going to pay for a memorial for their child," Jennifer says.
So far, Jennifer and her mother have helped 75 families in 22 counties throughout Iowa -- and Jennifer says that Natalie is with her every step of the way.
"It was just the right thing to do," Jennifer said. "She passed away and it was like, that's not it for her -- that was not the end of her story."
"Now we have this, and she keeps it going...definitely."
Jennifer says she hopes to take this organization beyond Iowa soon, extending to other states.
