IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Iowa City police have arrested a man they say was sexually assaulting women from a bike.

Sergeant Scott Gaarde says 44-year-old Anthony Michael Long of Iowa City was arrested yesterday after a two-week long investigation.

Gaarde says they received five different reports of a man grabbing women's butts and genitals from behind while riding by on a bicycle near Willow Creek Park between May 27 and June 8.

Using extra patrols, bicycle officers and plain clothes female officers, police found a suspect matching that description. That suspect was identified as Long.

After further investigation, Long was charged with four counts of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse. He was arrested on Wednesday.

The investigation continues and more charges are expected.
