Speeds reach over 100 mph in Jones County chase

OXFORD JUNCTION (KWWL) -

Jones County Police were involved in a pursuit that reached over 100 miles per hour Monday night.

Police say the pursuit lasted between 15 and 20 minutes. The chase ended on 32nd Street at County Road X64 in Oxford Junction . The driver went around a curve, lost control, and rolled his vehicle.

The driver sustained non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to an area hospital in Anamosa for treatment. The Jones County Sheriff said he will be in custody once he is out of treatment.

No name has been released at this time. More information is expected to be released late this afternoon.
