CORALVILLE (KWWL) -

Four men now charged in connection with a shooting in Coralville, Monday evening.

Coralville Police say at 4:52 Monday evening, they responded to a home in the 600 block of 10th Avenue where a 15-year old was shot in the hip.

A woman living inside the home says the 15-year old was her grandson.

She says another teenager who was with her grandson was also pistol whipped.

She says she had just pulled into her driveway with her granddaughter when she found out her grandson was shot.

Arthur Kirksey, 17, of Coralville, has been charged with Attempted Murder, 1st Degree Robbery, and Possession of a Firearm as a Convicted Felon.

Police have also charged 18-year-olds Deonta Moore and Ali Ali Abdelkarim along with 20-year-old Patrick Warren with 1st Degree Robbery.

It was an active scene as investigators brought bags from outside the home.

"This is why I lock my doors at night," said Kathleen Peters who lives next door. "I was told some boy was shot in the back room by another boy."

Another neighbor says he saw a person running minutes after.

"Run around and looked, I don't know somebody ran and that's basically it," said neighbor Loni Sproles. "This is quiet, it is quiet over here. The kids over there have their parties but other than that it's quiet."

The teenage victim was transported to The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and his injury is considered non-life-threatening.

The circumstances and motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
