DIKE (KWWL) - Two people were arrested after a high-speed chase in three counties ended in Black Hawk County.

According to Black Hawk County Sheriff Tony Thompson, two robbery suspects began eluding police in Hamilton County.

Officials caught up to the pair in Hardin County, and the high-speed chase began.

The chase headed east through Grundy County and Black Hawk County, according to Thompson.

The suspects exited eastbound Highway 20 at Dike and began heading east toward Waterloo on West Ridgeway Avenue, according to Thompson.

Stop sticks were then deployed at the intersection of Grundy Road and West Ridgeway Avenue.

The suspects' vehicle then went into a ditch. Both were caught and arrested in the 7700 block of West Ridgeway.

Charges are pending, according to Thompson.
