A few rounds of showers and storms will track through the area today -- with the second one strong enough to produce high winds and heavy rainfall.

Early morning will be along and ahead of a warm front tracking through the state. The later morning will include the remnants of an overnight storm system tracking in from the Dakotas.

The second one may still have enough energy to produce strong winds as it moves through our viewing area, along with some heavy rainfall potential.

The timing of that system dying out will determine the timing of storms developing rapidly Monday afternoon as a cold front tracks through.

Damaging winds, large hail and tornadoes will be possible with the late afternoon and evening storms as they develop.

Heavy rainfall will also be possible. We will dry out for Tuesday.
