Music fans deal with the mud

WAVERLY (KWWL) -

As music fans pack in to hear Mumford & Sons, something else is adding up that could prevent them from leaving after it's over.

Saturday's rain turned some Waverly parking areas into mud pits.

Police say, in some cases, cars won't be allowed to leave until Sunday because they don't want anyone to get stuck.

Part of Waverly saw rain, hail and lightning Saturday. That created some logistical problems, but campers said they didn't let it ruin their fun for the much anticipated Gentlemen of the Road tour stop.

"Some rain, some hail, some wind... the wind was really bad. We saw some tents blow away from the wind, but other than that, it was OK," said Matthew Sperry from Peoria, Illinois.

The emergency response team used the Wartburg Wellness Center for shelter.
