No one hurt in Cedar Rapids apartment fire

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

No one was hurt after a Cedar Rapids apartment complex catches fire.

Fire crews were dispatched at 3:48 a.m. this morning to the 5100 block of 16th Avenue SW at the Shamrock Condos. Officials say fire was coming out of the front of the building. There was significant damage in the second story and roof areas. Fire crews were able to control the fire and were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby units.

An initial report said someone was trapped, but everyone made it out and no one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time. The fire remains under investigation.
