CORALVILLE (KWWL) -

Family and friends are coming together to remember Andrea Farrington, the 20-year-old killed at Coral Ridge Mall on Friday night.

In a phone conversation, Andrea's uncle, Chad Wilcox, shared some memories with KWWL.

When asked what he remembers most about Andrea, Chad says the fact that she was fun-loving and energetic. He says she talked to everyone. Even if she didn't know you, she was going to talk to you and bring up your mood.

When asked what he was going to miss most about Andrea, he said the relationship Andrea had with his five-year-old-daughter. Wilcox says it's sad to know that Andrea won't be around to mentor his daughter.

Chad also cleared up some information. He says that, while Andrea was going to move back to Grinnell to be closer to her mom and sister, she was going to make the drive to Coralville so she could continue working at the museum because it was her dream job. He said she hoped to pick up more hours as well.

In addition to working at the museum, Chad also said that Andrea was planning to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.

After getting word the Iowa Children's Museum was going to dedicate their turtle exhibit to Andrea, we asked Chad where her love of turtles came from. Chad says it came out of nowhere. He says Andrea and the turtle just clicked, like they were "soul mates." He says Andrea would send several Snapchats a week of her and Peter the turtle.

The family is very thankful for the outpouring of support from everyone, including many people they don't know. Chad says while they can't respond to it all, they are reading it all.

On behalf of Andrea, he wants to tell everyone to keep smiling. He says Andrea would never quit smiling, so no one else should.

Visitation for Andrea continues until 7 p.m. Tuesday night at Hope Church in Montezuma.

Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hope Church.
