CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Thursday night flash flooding caused problems for drivers that fueled up at a Cedar Rapids gas station on Friday.

GPM Investments, owner of the Road Ranger at 2349 Blairs Ferry Road in Cedar Rapids, says one of their underground storage tanks took on water as a result of the heavy rains on Thursday night.

Chris Giacobone, Chief Operating Officer for GPM Investments, says once the problem was discovered, they shut down all tanks and pumps until the problem was isolated.

Giacobone says they determined one tank had water flowing into it as a result of the heavy rain.

All other tanks were but back into service after the fuel was tested by an outside contractor.

The company says the tank that was breached will not be put back into service until water table goes down and repairs can be made.

Giacobone says anyone impacted by the bad gas should contact the company at 804-730-1568 ext. 1129 or email areale@gpminvestments.com.
