LANSING (KWWL) -

A Waukon man is hurt in a jet ski crash on the Mississippi River on Wednesday afternoon. The DNR says that Jeremy Wicks, 21, was operating a jet ski that hit another operated by Paul Wagner, 30 near Lansing. Wagner and his passenger, Alyssa Petersburg, 24, weren't hurt; however, Wicks had to be pulled from the water by both Wagner and Petersburg.

Wicks was taken to Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, then he was airlifted to Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Wicks suffered injuries to his head and neck, but they aren't life threatening.

All three people were wearing life jackets and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The DNR is investigating.
