The officer followed Schroeder's vehicle north on Highway 136 until backup officers arrived in the area. The vehicle was pulled over just south of New Vienna and was occupied by Schroeder and three other men.

The Clayton County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit arrived and indicated there were drugs in the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, officers found what they believed to be a mobile meth lab in the vehicle and methamphetamine in Schroeder's possession.

Highway 136, from Floyd Road to New Vienna, was shut down for a short time as a precaution.

Schroeder was arrested on the outstanding warrant and for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.
