WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A kitten was found in the attic of a vacant rental home in Waterloo on Wednesday.

We are unsure of how the kitten got into the home, but it was alone.

A concerned neighbor let us know about the kitten, when he heard "meowing" coming from the house for the last four days.

The man told us that the house hadn't been occupied for a long time.

We called the homeowner, who sent his friend over to get inside and find the kitten.

Once it was found, it was picked up by animal control.
