CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

Beginning Tuesday, June 16, Cedar Falls school officials will offer tours at four elementary buildings in the district.

North Cedar Elementary, Orchard Hill Elementary, Hansen Elementary, and Southdale Elementary will be available.

If the bond passes, North Cedar and Orchard Hill would receive renovations and additions to their buildings.

Hansen and Southdale have both had renovations and additions.

"We hope the community will take the opportunity to see the facilities firsthand with the bond vote coming up June 30. By touring these buildings, the public can see what the current buildings look like, that are part of the bond vote, and see buildings that have been updated," said Superintended Dr. Andy Pattee.

Available tour times are as follows:

North Cedar: Tuesday, June 16 from noon to 1 pm, 5-7 pm.

Orchard Hill: Tuesday, June 16, from noon to 1 pm, 5-7 pm.

Southdale: Thursday, June 18, from noon to 1 pm,, 5-7 pm.

Hansen: Tuesday, June 23, from noon to 1 pm, 5-7 pm.

A group of people opposed to the bond referendum say they plan to meet on June 11th in the PIPAC Center in Cedar Falls.

"We are tired of the fiscal irresponsibility of Cedar Falls School Board and Superintendent Andy Pattee. This bond will be defeated, and I hope that they learn their lesson, and can come to us with a reasonable plan to enhance our schools without increasing our property taxes," said group leader Larry Wyckoff.

Wyckoff says they plan to meet at 6:30 pm.
