Some changes will be made to traffic flow over the next couple of weeks in the area of Edgewood Road and Highway 100 as the construction of the Highway 100 extension continues.
The Iowa Department of Transportation says. beginning Thursday, Edgewood Road traffic will be switched from the detour to a portion of the newly built bridge that crosses what will be the Highway 100 extension.
Then, on June 21, the ramp from northbound Edgewood Road to eastbound Highway 100 will be closed as the next stage in construction begins. Traffic will detour onto the new bridge and then turn right at the end of the bridge to get onto eastbound Highway 100.
Drivers should find an alternate route to avoid the area if possible.
