LINN COUNTY (KWWL) -

Four miles of a major Linn County road will be closed during the month beginning on Friday.

The Linn County Secondary Roads Department says Alburnett Road will be closed from the south end of the Alburnett city limits to the north edge of the Marion city limits.

Crews will resurface the road by putting new concrete over the existing surface. They will work from the Alburnett city limits to County Home Road first. When that section is completed, they will then work from the Marion city limits north to County Home Road. County Home Road will remain open during the entire project.

Those living in the work area will have access for most of the project, but will lose access to their entrance for 48 hours when the concrete paving project reaches their property.

The project is expected to be completed by July 2.
