Iowa man sent to federal prison for meth

A Carroll County man has been sentenced to time in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute meth.

Christopher Julin, 29, of Manning, Iowa will spend five years in prison following a guilty plea. Julin admitted from 2013 to July 2014, he was involved in a plan to distribute at least five pounds of mixed meth, which contained at least 1,500 grams of pure methamphetamine.

Julin must also serve a five-year term of supervised release after the prison term.

There is no parole in the federal prison system.
