CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

A Cedar Rapids man is going to federal prison for more than three years for wire fraud and identity theft.

The United States Attorney's Office says 28-year-old Terry L. Gantt was sentenced to three years and two months in federal prison after pleading guilty to the charges.

Court records show Gantt admitted using someone ease's identity and social security number to apply for credit. Gantt admitted it happened between November 2012 and February 2013.

In addition to the prison sentence, Gantt has to pay a $200 special assessment and $2,963.76 in restitution.
